the last story in the series was really great. I was glad that Tristian got out but again at the same time a part of me want him to be with the Dark King...which I know is so bad. I was hoping that since Tristian was no longer with him he would see how much he did care for him and would want him as lover and his pet. I was glad that in the end Tristian found the love he so deserved. I'm sure if there could be another book but I kinda of want to see what happens to the Dark King. "Imprisoned By Desire 3" takes up right where #2 left off-- with Tristan choosing Prince Dareon over the Dark King. However, Tristan finds his sudden and unexpected freedom to not be as easy to embrace as he thought. His heart is firmly in Dareon's hands, but the onslaught of sexually charged dreams featuring the Dark King 's particular brand of torture and the ever present physical link of the collar and shackles have more than a little effect upon the small rescuing group.
Being the largest installment of the series, Calandra Hunter really takes the opportunity to fully explore Tristan's transformation and the burgeoning relationship between the Prince and Tristan. It's thoroughly delightful to see where Tristan's inner strength originates. In #1 he sacrifices himself for his friends and now we, the reader, can see that his love and faith weren't misplaced. They took great risks in retrieving Tristan, but even more so in keeping him.
What is perhaps the best part of this series, is that it has slowly developed and evolved into something more than erotica-- in "I.D.3" the sex is scorching HOT (I mean, like, illegally so) but the author also respects her readers enough to deliver perfectly edited material (something often overlooked in erotica, and the mm genre as a whole) that cares deeply about the characters. The characters are imbued with life, never reminiscent of the cookie cutter flatness usually found in erotica.
I feel like the ending is a really satisfying HEA too, but I hope the series is continued. Personally, I'd like to see more of what happens to the Dark King. He was always a guilty favorite of mine, but in this book, I glimpsed some aspects of DK that were a touch vulnerable. I even felt sorry for him. I greatly enjoyed the humanity that our villain was afforded, and I'd like to see more of it. Does he deserve a HEA? Absolutely not, but I can hope, can't I?
Ms. Hunter has become one of those authors that I trust to buy from-- her works are unfailingly full of depth, shattering sex and intriguing characters at an affordable price.

I love this book. It is the third book in a series. I wish there were more. I have read it many times since my purchase.
This was a very good ending for this series. The lasting friendship overcoming the fast and hard. This one went into more development of the prince and Tristen. But there is room for another story about the Dark King.
